传记是记述人物生平事迹的作品。主要记叙人物事迹,包括国籍、生活年代、主要事迹和成就等。

传记一般有两类:一类是记述自己的生平,称为“自传”;一类是记述他人的生平,称为“他传”。

一、传记的内容和写作要求。

人物传记只写人物的主要生活经历和思想,因此只能选写人物生平的几件典型事情。写传记还要实事求是,不允许虚构和夸张。

写人物传记前,必须详细地搜集材料,如书面材料,调查的第一手资料等。写时,要严格选材,根据人物特点,选择典型材料。如写诺贝尔、居里夫人一类科学家,应重点选择他们从事的科学研究,在科学上做出的贡献等相关材料。如写自己的同班同学,则应选择他的兴趣、爱好、性格特点、思想认识等方面的材料。动笔时,还要恰当地组织材料,一般以时间为线索,用顺叙手法写。

二、写作中应注意的问题。

1.传记要求真实,不仅选取的材料要真实,而且还要具体表现人物的言行,比较全面地展示人物的主要思想性格特征,透视人物的精神世界。因此,在写作之前要做充分的调查了解,尽可能全面地搜集有关的资料。

2.要选取最典型的事例,来表现人物主要的思想性格特征,不能像履历表式地简单罗列。在表达上以记叙为主,有时也可以适当地插入议论、抒情。

3.基本上采用客观叙述的方式,切忌采用主观色彩过强的大段评论。但同时,在记述过程中又不可避免地要显示出作者对人物思想品格、是非功过的态度和评价。因此,要努力保持全面、客观、公正的态度。

著名语言学家Harmer把掌握外语的四种技能听、说、读、写能力又合并为两大类:一是接受技能,主要指听、读;二是生产技能,主要指说、写。接受技能又称为语言输入,生产技能又称为语言输出。Harmer认为两者 的关系是这样的:如果学生仅仅是语言输入,他们的大脑只是孤立地存储许多语言知识,而当在某一特定场景需要运用某一语言时,却拿不出来。只有当语言输入和输出相结合时,才会使学生对他们学到的语言重新估计,从而产生进一步努力学习的欲望。由此可见,在初中英语的教学中,培养学生写作的的技能迫在眉睫。

一、培养学生写作技能的意义

1.掌握一门语言的需要。英语技能一般包括听、说、读、写能力,而写的能力是学习语言中的最高能力。新课程标准中有这样一个理念:强调应用性,学以致用,克服理论脱离实际的倾向。使语境生活化,更加全面的提高学生的语言知识、语言技能,并将对这两项基本技能贯穿在对综合语言运用能力的培养上,是我们初中英语教学的最终目标。所以说,培养学生的写作技能不仅是教学目标的需要,也是学生掌握一门语言的需要。

2.应试教育的需要。纵观多年的中考试卷,不难发现写作技能一直是必须的考查点。写作技能以书面表达的形式出现在最后一块考查内容中,这部分的分值一般是15分左右,虽然是15分的分值,占整张试卷的比例并不是太高,但是既然是考点之一,作为教师和学生就要重视起来,一来它能提高学生学生英语的能力,二来也是学生在应试中脱颖而出的一项重要得分点。

二、初中英语写作教学的策略

1.抓好平时的单词与单句练习。要想把书面表达的技能提上去,单词的记忆和练习是分不开的,单词是构成文章的最小的元素,只有单词记得牢固,单词运用恰当,写起文章来才能得心应手。在教学生记忆单词的时候,教师可以采用:卡片记忆法、构词法、谐音法等等。

只记住单词并不一定能写出优美的文章来,只有把单词连成句子才能算是迈出了一小步。单句练习是学生在课本和练习册中见得最多的也是最基本的写作练习。它要求学生把学到的某一新的语言知识和旧的语言知识结合起来。为了训练学生运用单句的能力,教师可以通过填空、句式记忆、句型转换等方式使学生达到熟记、巩固、使用的境界。

2.教给学生写作常用的句型。虽然说:学无定法。但是,在英语的写作教学中教师可以根据自己的教学实践和经验总结一些常用的写作句型,让学生平时加以记忆和运用,这样学生的水平必定会有所提高。在这里列举一些常用的写作句型,以提高教师教学的效益和学生学习的效率。

例如:比较级句型:It is the second + 最高级 + n.

3.培养学生批改的能力。现在中学英语教学中批改的方法主要有两种,一是教师判,一是学生互判。教师判就是直接用红色笔在有错误的单词、句式等有错误的地方做批注和标记。这样做教师不仅很辛苦,对学生帮助却不大。但是让学生互批,有的学生素质比较低,所以,他们又很难发现错误,起不到理想的效果。其实可以采用这样一种方法:教师学生共判。操作过程是学生作业交上来后,我用不同类型的符号标出不同类型的错误。比如:问号是表示单词有错误的,需要再修改的;画横线的是主谓不一致的地方;画双横线的句子是与中心思想无关的内容等。这种纠错方法起初操作起来较困难,但学生兴趣很高。教师似乎也很费周折,但随着学生写作能力的增强,他们在写作中出现的错误会越来越少,这时教师的工作就相对省劲了。

4.用“串珠”的方式再巩固。方法再多,如果只是零散了一地,学生的写作能力也很难提高,所以,当方法和练习都做到之后,教师就要用“串珠”的方式引导学生复习再巩固。下面列举一个自己认为行之有效的方法:语言知识尤其是写作练习要采用以功能话题为主线,以:单词――短语――句子――对话――作文”进行练习,这种由点到面,层层推进的训练方式对学生写作能力的提高具有事半功倍的效果。
